2026 Small Group Information

Many of you are aware that there was a signup sheet for a lady’s group to go through “The Purple Book, Biblical Foundations For Building Strong Disciples.” From that we have had several people ask about other times and opportunities to go through The Purple Book in a small group. Because of the interest we have decided that instead of having Gather, Grow, and Go this winter and spring we will try and set up a few different opportunities for people to join a small group that is going through The Purple Book. We are looking into groups at the following times, a Sunday morning group for some ladies, a group on Wednesday mornings (maybe 10 AM), a group Monday evening, groups on Wednesday evenings, and a group that meets on Saturday mornings (maybe 8 AM). We are trying to discover what works for people and trying to help groups to start.

Because of the organization and orchestrating of all of this we are asking for your help. We will be having signup sheets available for the next couple of weeks, and we invite you to signup for the opportunity that will work best for you over the next 4 to 6 months. We are hoping that most groups will start around the beginning of February and work through The Purple Book over the next several months. We also hope that out of these small groups relationships are made, more small groups are made, and people continue to get together to fellowship in the Word of God and prayer.

It is likely that each group will function and use the book a little differently and that is ok and good. Our desire in helping these small groups form is that there would fellowship with one another in the Word of God, and prayer. We plan to have a couple people in each group that will help lead and facilitate but also ask that all take part in helping the group function and fellowship together. We also understand that these times may not fit everyone’s schedule and invite you to let us know what would work for you.

Over the next couple of Sundays, we plan to talk about why we are doing this and the importance of doing this. Our goal is not to simply accomplish going though a book. The goal is that this will help equip each of us to grow and mature in Jesus and be disciple-makers.
